Was there a timing change done on Main street light going East at Dallas Parkway? In the mornings, traffic backs up all the way to Teel some days.

Major reconstruction of the Legacy and Lebanon intersection started just over two weeks ago during Spring Break. As a result of that reconstruction, we are seeing major changes in traffic patterns on the west side of Frisco. One of those changes is increased traffic volumes on eastbound Main Street in the morning. Because of the traffic shift, more time was added to eastbound Main at Teel, Legacy and Dallas Parkway last Friday. This has helped some, but has not completely eliminated the congestion. The changes have resulted in increased delay for motorists on Teel and Legacy at their respective intersections with Main Street.

I know this past Monday morning, the conditions on Main were made worse despite the timing changes because of a car crash just east of Legacy. This crash occurred about 8:15am and was cleared about 8:30am. We will continue to watch the area and see if further changes can be made to improve conditions, but traffic conditions along Main will continue to suffer until the Legacy and Lebanon intersection is fully reopened this summer.
