What is the status of plans to connect the gap in Stonebrook Pkwy between Legacy Drive and Longhorn Trail?

Stonebrook Parkway from Legacy Drive to Longhorn Trail has been split into two projects.

Phase 1: Legacy Drive to Fighting Eagles.
This project has been awarded to Texas Sterling Construction and should begin in the next couple of weeks, weather permitting. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of 2011.

Phase 2: Fighting Eagles to Longhorn Trail.
US Corps of Engineers and BNSF railroad permitting is ongoing and is the reason this phase is behind Phase 1. Design of Phase 2 is 90% complete. Construction is expected to begin in early 2012 and take 2 years to complete.

When is Stonebrook Pkwy opening from Legacy to DNT? It looks complete but is still blocked.

The connection to the Dallas North Tollway is not expected to be completed until Spring 2014. The project has been split into two phases. Phase 1, which extends from Legacy to Fighting Eagles, is nearing completion and is expected to be open in the next couple of weeks. Phase 1 was accelerated to provide additional access to the new Legacy Christian Academy High School which is scheduled to open in late 2011. In addition, the Phase 1 project does not require US Corps of Engineers permits. Phase 2, Fighting Eagles to Longhorn Trail, which will complete the connection to the Dallas North Tollway, is scheduled to begin in Spring 2012 and take 2 years to construct.

The developer for Hidden Cove Phase 4 (in the town of Hackberry) is improving a section of Stonebrook Parkway. Traffic is currently being served by an asphalt detour while the permanent street is being constructed. When complete, Stonebrook will consist of a 36 wide street with one lane of traffic in each direction from where the concrete pavement currently ends to just north of the intersection of Stonebrook and Hackberry Creek Park Road.

"Construction of the next section of Stonebrook Parkway, which will provide a connection between Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway, is slated to begin in March of 2012."

Is that still the plan?

The project has been delayed because we are still waiting on an agreement with the railroad. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in September of 2012.

The City has opened bids for the Stonebrook Parkway project between Longhorn and Fighting Eagles and the award of the contract to the low bidder is on the October 2nd City Council Agenda. We are still waiting final approval from the railroad to begin construction; however, construction is expected to begin in November.

Has a contractor been approved? If so, has construction started? Are the approvals in place from the railroad?

I see the last response was little over a year but we are approaching November in couple months. Is the project on track to be finished by November 2014? Thank you.
