We've almost given up exiting here bc of all of the near accidents that seem to occur on a daily basis - when you exit DNT at the Panther Creek exit the Yield signs are extremely confusing. There's a yield sign on the left side that just says Yield and then another on the right side that says Yield to Ramp. This makes it look like the people exiting DNT have to yield to the people in the left lane while the right lane has to yield to the people exiting DNT which makes no sense. Every day people in the off ramp and left lane go full speed towards each other with neither yielding. Can something be done to clear these up like make both of them Yield to Ramp signs? It's very dangerous.

We have contacted NTTA and they will soon be installing a "yield to ramp" sign on the left most yield sign.

Can we not have a lane dedicated to cars entering from DNT to the exit at Panther Creek? That would be similar to the way it works on the exit at Eldorado Pky...

We will take a look at it and consider making this modification. Among other things, it will depend upon the volume of traffic exiting the Tollway and the volume of traffic on northbound Dallas Parkway that wishes to enter the Tollway at the next ramp.

As the City grows and traffic patterns change, we continually have new issues that require analysis to see if some traffic control changes need to be made. We will add this item to our list of issues that will be studied.

The frontage roads narrow down to one lane in certain areas where an off-ramp from the Tollway merges with the frontage road. This allows frontage road traffic to proceed without yielding to traffic entering the road from the Tollway. However, it is not physically possible to do this at every ramp location (it depends on the distance between the off-ramp and the next intersection on the frontage road and how much development exists along the frontage road).

As development occurs or as traffic patterns change in the future, the current one-lane sections may eventually be restriped so that two lanes are maintained on the frontage road. On the other hand, other locations to give the off-ramp its own lane may be possible in the future when the frontage road is eventually widened to three lanes.
