Are there any plans for improvements to the north end of Frisco Commons Park? Both streets that dead end at the park are fairly dark at night and several times vehicles have parked at the end of the street in front of houses and the people in these vehicles have gone into the park. I can't imagine anything going on in an isolated part of the park that would be legal at that time of night. It would be great to have some kind of lighting and some form of signage indicating that 1) the park is closed after dark, and 2) parking is not allowed after dark in that area.

There are items that have been shown on the master plan in this area for several years. You can see the master plan on the Parks and Recreation page. Currently, we do not have funds allocated to any development of this area. There is a number of people that enjoy walking in the area and it being left in its more native state. The streets that dead end into the park were placed there prior to the City acquiring the park and were intended to serve whatever was constructed there. Up until recently the City did not own the property between the park and the streets. There was a small tract of land that did not allow us to connect the park to the streets even though people did it on foot.
I will visit with Staff about the placement of a sign.
