Howdy,
Any idea what the plans are for the old Oaks etc on 423? A lot of them look like they are in the build line for the widening project. Are we moving them or are they going to be destroyed? If we are moving them how could we help decide where they go? If they are to be destroyed - are they going to a lumber mill to be made into rough boards or ... made unusable by excessive heat?

We have discussed the trees with our Parks Department. They are not aware of any old oaks on the FM 423 project. They are going to look again and see if there are any old oaks that could be replanted. Most likely, the trees are going to be removed by the contractor building FM 423. Typically, trees that are removed are ground into mulch and hauled to a nursery.
