Damon:

The City Council in April, 2009 adopted the Water Management Plan. We were required by the State of Texas to update our plan by May 1, 2009. Our plan includes a Water Efficiency Plan that is effective year round to encompass typical weather in North Texas. Outdoor watering during rainfall, watering of streets, etc, and over watering that allows water to flow down the street is prohibited year round. Beginning with Daylight Saving Time, outdoor watering is prohibited from 5-8 am and from 10 am to 6 pm. During July, August, and September outdoor watering with automatic sprinkler systems is restricted to two days per week using your trash day and one additional day. You may use soaker hoses and hand held hoses on anyday and at any time. The complete plan can be viewed at www.friscotexas.gov/water. If you have other questions , please contact Public Works at 972-292-5800. Thanks for your inquiry.
