The new bike path is good to have. I have noticed though that there is a lot of debris along the edges of the greenbelt. There is also a good amount of standing water on the northern most section. What is being done to correct these situations? It won't take long for this asset to become an eyesore.

Thank you.

We have had an ongoing problem in the green belt area with residents along the east and west boundaries illegally dumping grass clippings, tree limbs and other debris behind their fences. With the completion of the new trail and residents using the trail, the dumping as become more of a public nuisance and eyesore.

We have had conversations with the HOA representatives along these areas and have gotten our Code Enforcement Department involved to help resolve the problem. They have notified the residents whose property backs up to the green belt and asked for the cooperation in refraining from dumping any debris onto City property.

We have removed some of the debris and will be removing the rest within the next couple of weeks (weather permitting). We have had problems accessing the area at times due to the rains and did not want to create ruts that would cause additional problems. We will also check on the standing water situation on the north end.
