I have a corner lot with a 15 foot easment. Is there a chance that there can be utitlites such as gas lines running inside my fence line? If so how do I find out?

Yes there is a good possibility that there are utilities in your easement. You should call 1888digtess. They will contact all of the utility companies like gas and electric companies to come to the easement and mark the location of underground utilities. Also follow the “Before you dig…” steps at Public Works Site to locate any municipal utilities.

You usually cannot put a structure over an existing easement.
