Why does eastbound Gaylord have a "No Right on Red" sign at Preston? Visibility doesn't seem to be a huge issue there, and the illuminated sign is lit even when northbound Preston has a protected left turn (which should protect the right turn in question).

Eastbound Gaylord has a variable message No Right Turn On Red sign because of the large number of u-turns made from northbound Preston Road at that intersection. Specifically, the No Right Turn On Red sign is only active when the northbound protected left-turn is green.
