There is a sign by the Caddo Trail regarding re-zoning of property behind the Stonebrook Estates/old Albertson's on Preston Rd. Any idea of what is going on here?

Kell,

The developer of the vacant land wishes to be able to use Stoneridge Drive as a second emergency only access into the property. The primary access would be through Chapel Creek to the south. The secondary access would only be for emergency vehicles and would not be for resident access.

Since the land is part of a planned development it requires that the development standards be modified to reflect this second point of access.

Will there be a new road constucted at the end of the current Stoneridge Drive into the new development? How will "emergency access only" be controlled? Is this going to be developed soon?

Kell,

There will be a connection made to Stoneridge Drive into the development in order to provide a driving surface for emergency vehicles. The emegency access will be maintained through a gate that will be place across drive. This gate will only be openable by emergency crews and not residents of the proposed development. We do not know what the specific timing is for the project.

What has ever happened with the rezoning for this project? What type of development is currently planned for the parcel?
