Recently they changed the speed limit between 423 and Rose on Stonebrook PKWY. It went from 35mph to 45mph. I was wondering what the reason for this was and why it took so long?

When is Stonebrook PKWY going to be widened in this area. It looks like it is destined to be eventually?

We conduct speed zone studies on every arterial roadway in the City at least once every three years in order to see if the posted speed limits need to be adjusted. A study was conducted on this section of Stonebrook Parkway in 2008 since it was built within the three years prior to that.

Yes, this section of Stonebrook will eventually be widened to two-lanes in each direction, but it is developer driven. This means that it will be widened once the land along the north side of the road begins to develop.
