Just a quick curious question... the Frisco fire station at Independence and Eldorado has been open now for close to two years or more, and everytime I drive by it, I notice that there is a small brick marquee wall which looks to hold an electronic sign for the station. However, nothing has been installed similar to other stations in Frisco. Newer stations (such as the one at Eldorado west of the Tollway) had electronic signage up at the opening of the station. What is the delay and why has the station at Eldorado and Independence not had their electronic signage installed?

Good morning Mr. Ruzicka,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the marquee sign at Frisco Fire Station #5, located 14300 El Dorado Parkway. The marquees at both stations were designed such as to allow installation of either traditional signage boxes or electronic LED type signage. As mentioned, we are indeed evaluating LED (electronic) signage at our newest Fire Station #6, located at 3535 El Dorado Parkway. The LED sign installed at Station #6 is still under evaluation. If we can find a sign that accomplishes our goals, which includes coordinating the messages displayed on such signs at various locations (Fire Stations), we may move forward with a recommendation to Council for installation of a similar sign on the marquee at Fire Station #5.
