There is a 4 way stop sign at Rogers and Eldorado Pkwy just west of Preston next to the Catholic Church. I am always in a traffic jam on Eldorado because of the 4 way stop. Due to the congestion on Eldorado, I was wondering if a recent traffic study had been completed to justify keeping the stop signs on Eldorado? Why not just have those on Rogers stop? There is not much traffic on Rogers, and a 4 way stop seems over kill. Thanks for the help

This intersection is at the crest of a hill and so there would be sight distance issues for vehicles waiting on Rogers if traffic on Eldorado did not stop. Therefore, the 4-way stop is there due to safety reasons.
This 4-way stop will be replaced by a traffic signal when Eldorado Parkway is widened to six lanes between Preston Road and the Dallas North Tollway. Work on this widening project is expected to start by the end of the year and take 15 to 18 months to complete.
