Has the city of Frisco given any thought about instituting a Recycle Bank program in the area? Recycle Bank is a program that "pays households back" based on the amount of trash they recycle. The payment comes back in the form of credits for area businesses like grocery stores, etc.

This department initially contacted Recycle Bank in February to discuss their household pay back program. Implementing this program would not come without a cost; to set up this program we would have to increase our residential service rate. At $10 per month our rate is one of the lowest in the metroplex and we are trying to keep it that way. Other cities have implemented this program to increase recycling participation fortunately we are not in their position. Thanks to citizen's like yourself, who recognize the importance of recycling, our current collection rate equals cities using Recycle Bank. Maybe we can offer some type of incentive in the future; one approach - a smaller trash cart at a lower rate. I would be happy to discuss this further with you, please give me a call.
Thanks for your continued recycling support.
