Is there a City Ordinance for tractor trailers, dirt haulers, rock haulers etc driving through neighborhood streets?

If so, what if anything can be done about it?

We have escavating/construction going on at Red Cedar and Kings Ridge for FISD and some of the large trucks cut through the neighborhood streets when they can access the site from Preston Rd without needing to cut through the neighborhoods.

They aren't that noisy, we are just concerned they will tear up the small neighborhood streets with their heavy vehicles.

Thank you

Under our current ordinance, as long as the trucks have a delivery or reason to be there, they are not in violation. The City traffic engineer has been working on a truck route ordinance that would direct them the most direct way. But the bottom line is if you have construction or deliveries, the trucks are allowed to use residential streets.
