What are the plans to widen Eldorado between Coit and Independance? With the new high school scheduled to open next year, I image a two-lane road will be a huge taffic jam.

Eldorado Parkway will be widened from two lanes to four lanes from Independence Parkway to the new high school site. In addition, turn lanes will be included for access to the new high school. Construction plans are being completed at this time. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2009 and will be completed before the opening of the new high school.

Thanks Jason - so does that mean from the high school WEST (so high school to Coit) will remain 2 lanes?

Eldorado Parkway, west of Independence to Hillcrest, is not included in the project that will begin in early 2009; however we anticipate beginning design of the project west of Independence this year utilizing Collin County bond funds. Construction is expected to begin in early 2010 and should be completed in Fall 2011.
