For communities that are online to use the gray water system, is it up and running yet through the city? If not, when do you expect it to be in use?

The City of Frisco does not have a gray water program. We are developing a reuse program that utilizes treated wastewater. The reuse water will be primarily limited to golf courses, parks, and athletic fields. Thanks for your inquiry. If you have additional questions, you may contact my office at 972-292-5800.

Is this treated water available to communites for use in their parks and public areas. What do they need to do to start using it.

We have now been permitted by the State of Texas to capture and use the treated wastewater (reuse water)
from the sewage treatment plants. We have just completed a reuse masterplan with one golf course as a customer at the time. In the near future, we hope to expand our customers within the City of Frisco to include city parks, medians, and school playgrounds and athletic fields. These large users will ultimately use all of the reuse water available to us. If you have additional questions, please contact my office at 972-292-5800. Thanks for your inquiry.
