Our neighborhood pool has 2 gates to access the pool one is self latching and has an access pad to unlock. The other gate is not self latching and does not close by itself. It only locks with a chain and padlock. It has been this way for a year. Doesn't that second gate require additional items to be in compliance with state and city pool code?

All gates in a pool enclosure must be self closing and self latching or permanently locked. If the occupant load of pool and deck area does not require more than one exit, additional gates may be locked in compliance with the code.
