The slide has been built for well over a month, but has yet to open. I've asked the staff in the center on numerous occasions what the hold up was and am being told that they are "waiting on a part". The seems to be an awfully long time to be waiting on a part. Can we get a more detailed explanation please?

Thanks for your note regarding our indoor water slide for the Frisco Athletic Center. Let me see if I can clear up any confusion on the delay in getting the slide open.
Initially, the contractor for the slide was unable to deliver the slide in time for the opening of the FAC. Once delivered, there were some additional parts needed to complete the installation. Once all of the parts were delivered and the slide was constructed, our staff began training on the slide to begin operations once it had been inspected and certified.
Inspection on the slide is expected to take place this next week, and once that has been completed and the slide has been certified, we can begin operation.
I am hopeful that this great addition to the indoor natatorium will be opening within the next 7-10 days. We are excited to open it and make it available for all of our members.
Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks again for your note and interest.
