Are permits required by the City of Frisco for basic home remodeling projects like:
replacing kitchen cabinets?
appliances?
flooring?
windows?
lighing?
tankless hot water heater?
a power conditioning system?

Thank you

Painting, wallpaper, floor covering, cabinets, countertops and similar finish work are exempt from permit requirements. Replacement of appliances and/or fixtures that are plug and cord connected, or do not require any alteration in the electrical or plumbing systems are also exempt. Permits and inspections are required for the replacement of water heaters, air conditioning systems and windows. The best recommendation is to contact Building Inspections to confirm that a permit is not required for your specific project. Building Inspections can be reached at 972 292-5301.
