They just started clearing the lake this week, and neighbors have said different things are happening, wanted clarification on the project. We love the lake and know it eventually will be turned over to city so were excited to see future plans for it. Older posts on this talk about different plans so wanted to see the final outcome

The Teel Parkway Retention Facility Landscape Improvements project consists of improvements related to the aesthetics of the existing landscape surrounding the retention pond. These improvements include re-grading of the site to provide adequate drainage, removal of debris in the drainage canals, rock veneer facing along the west retaining wall and headwalls, over 100 new trees of various species, Bermuda and native grass seeding, a sidewalk connection to the future Canal District hike and bike trail with interpretive signage, and new fountains. Additionally, we ask for patience and understanding regarding the grass establishment surrounding the pond. The Parks Department welcomes any additional questions from residents regarding this project and can be reached at 972-292-6511.
