I have been monitoring the Monthly road construction updates and the status of the Coit Road end date between Main and Eldorado seems to be a moving target. One lane in each direction was supposed to open in November and did not happen. It was then said that one lane in each direction would open in the first week of December and that too has passed. Is there a date firm date that can be provided for this opening?

Also, will the section of Coit, south of Main street be widened before lanes on Coit are opened?

Coit Road was opened on Monday, December 23rd. Unfortunately, we experienced some weather delays which pushed the opening from early December to the 23rd.

The section of Coit south of Main St. is included in the Main St. widening project being constructed by TxDOT.

The intersection of Coit and Main is in bad shape. Huge tire popping pot holes on both the north and southbound lanes.

TxDOTs contractor went through the project this morning and addressed pothole and rutting issues on many of the side streets & driveways, Coit Rd. being one of them.
