There is a sign of potential park in front of the Isabel Sem Elementary school. I wanted to know by when the park will be coming and the current status.

The City will begin Master Planning that park later this year. This process will take approximately 6-8 months to complete once started. As we go through the Master Planning process, we hold several meetings where residents are able to provide input. After the park is planned, the Community Development Corporation, Parks and Recreation Board and the City Council will be able to determine when the first phase of construction should begin.

Is there a site or location we can go to see the schedule of the meetings with residents about the planning of the park?

Once we have begun the master plan consultant, we will work through the public meeting process with the Parks and Recreation Board. There will be meetings in which we will seek and value public input on potential development components for the Northeast Community Park site.

As Dudley has identified above, this process can take up to 8 months or more to go through the entire master planning process.

Feel free to let me or our staff know if you should have any questions regarding this. We look forward to having your input during the master planning of this community park.

Thanks again,

Rick Wieland
Director of Parks nad Recreation
