I am concerned about the poor condition of Crescent Park between Pink ES and Griffin MS. I understand that we are under watering restrictions but this park is not being watered at all. We spent over $800,000 to build this park and we cannot manage to maintain it? It is so poorly maintained it is not safe for children to play in without the risk of falling into a giant hole.
When this park was originally proposed to the homeowners around it we were promised that the park would be irrigated with gray water so we would not see this poor condition.
What is the plan moving forward to make sure that our existing parks are safe and why do we continue to build new parks when we do not maintain our current ones?
What can we do as residents to help the Parks Department maintain our parks?

One of our Superintendent’s checked the park and is planning to fill in several low spots. Unfortunately, all of our neighborhood parks adjacent to schools take quite a beating almost year round, both from school kids and youth sports practices.
We will also increase the irrigation watering times. Regarding the reclaimed water, it is not currently in place for Crescent Park. It possibly could be in the future, but no plans are currently in place to use it at that particular park.
