Are there plans to improve the Dallas Parkway once the Tollway is completed? Will it be widened to three lanes?

There are plans to widen the frontage road to 3 lanes from SH 121 to Eldorado. This expansion will occur in phases.

The first project is from SH 121 to Warren. This project has federal funding and is scheduled to begin design in late 2007 or early 2008. I would expect construction to be finished by 2010.

The project from Warren to Eldorado is a project that we have submitted for funding through Collin County. A new Collin County bond election is planned for this November. If this project gets funded through this bond program, construction would probably start in 2010.

I would also expect the frontage roads to be widened to three lanes from Eldorado to US 380. Currently, there is no timeline established for that expansion.
