What is the speed limit on northbound Custer Road from SH121 to Main Street? I've always assumed it is 55MPH, however this morning I noticed there are no speed limit signs on between 121 and Main.

The speed limit is 55 mph with the exception of north of Stonebridge, where it is reduced to 45. Traffic engineering is checking the location for signage and will request TxDOT place appropriate signage. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

We verified that TxDOT has posted speed limit signs on Custer Road between SH121 and Main Street (FM3537).

There is a 55 MPH sign posted for northbound traffic near the driveway Target north of SH121.

There is also a 55 MPH sign posted for southbound traffic south of Main Street (FM3537).

Speed limit signs on state highways (like Custer Road) are installed and maintained by the Texas Department of Public Transportation. If you have any other questions related to these signs, please contact the TxDOT office at 972-542-2345.
