I noticed that a grand old Oak was torn down and destroyed in the last few days on the NorthEast corner of Lebanon and 423. I thought a permit was required to remove a tree? If a permit is required, why would the City issue a permit to kill such a resource? If the tree was in the Developers way couldn't they design around it or move it?

Thank you

There is an old tree stump they bulldozed over there from somewhere. At one time there were a few Live Oaks on the corner but they all died. Everything has been mass graded in preparation for construction. Republic properties is keeping track of tree mitigation for all trees removed and providing me with updates.
