Very few of the (relatively)new street lights on Warren between Legacy and DNT are working and those that are lit are very dim, what is the plan of action?

Libbie,

We will have our crews check the area to determine what is needed.

Do you have an update on this situation?

Crews did check the location last week and have scheduled it for repairs. At this time, the work should be completed within the next 3 weeks.

Thanks

It appears the street light issues are coming back. There are now 15 lights burned out on Coit. Should the city hire a company to audit the quality of the installation on Coit, Hillcrest, Ohio and Warren?

Brian,

The vendor of the lighting is meeting with us to determine what the issue is. Several roadways with the same equipment have had a significant number of lights going out earlier than expected.

Thanks

Brian,

We are working to schedule a follow-up meeting with one of the suppliers. It has been determined that a capacitor in the light fixtures is bad. In checking part numbers, this same capacitor is used in equipment made by three different manufacturers we are using.

In our next meeting we will be working with the vendor to determine how many need to be repaired, how they are going to repair them, and when they will be repaired.

Thanks
Brian Moen
