Thank you for the message. The RCB (Reinforced Concrete Box) in the median near Wade and Kirby represents the final piece of road improvements associated with the Ohio Drive expansion. We appreciate your concerns regarding the unsatisfactory progress of this project. Unfortunately, several significant fiber optic cables buried along Wade have prevented the installation of this proposed storm sewer (RCB). We received notice on January 5th, 2007 that the relocation of these lines was complete. Weather permitting, the contractor plans to start placing the RCB in mid February. Please be aware, we have closely scrutinized the circumstances surrounding this project and we have taken steps to improve communication between the City and all Franchise Utilities to minimize future delays.

Thank you,
Michael Bulla
